Childs and O’Hara receive CFP^®, Gudim earns AWMA^®
New accreditations allow Back Bay Financial Group to better advise clients

BOSTON – Edward J. Childs and Emily R. O’Hara recently received their Certified Financial Planner™ designations and Erik W. Gudim earned his Accredited Wealth Management Advisor^SM designation. Childs and O’Hara received their certificates from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. and Gudim received his from the College of Financial Planning in Colorado.

Childs serves as a portfolio services associate and manages trading operations and investment reporting, while O’Hara serves as a financial planning associate, assisting wealth managers with maintaining client relationships. Gudim serves as a research and operations analyst and supports company operations related to investment research and compliance.

“Ed Childs and Emily O’Hara join six others at the firm who hold this certification. The CFP^® designation shows commitment to competency and continuing education within the financial planning and investment fields,” said John H. LeBlanc, CFP^®, founding principal and chief operating officer at Back Bay Financial Group Inc.

“Erik Gudim has studied critical aspects of wealth management, investment performance and asset allocation strategies,” said Robert D. Siefert, CFP^®, founding principal and wealth management director at the firm. This knowledge enables him to provide more comprehensive research on investment strategies for the firm, he said.

Childs holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a diploma in financial planning from Boston University, while O’Hara received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Stonehill College of Easton and a master’s degree in financial planning from Bentley University of Waltham. Gudim received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentrations in international marketing and finance from Muhlenberg College of Allentown, Penn.
