Evans passes Certified Financial Planner™ examination

BOSTON – Mary M. Evans of Quincy recently passed the Certified Financial Planner™ Certification Examination. She sat for the exam in July, 2007.

After three years of qualifying, full-time work, Evans will complete her certification and become a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner. Evans currently serves as a financial planning assistant for Back Bay Financial Group Inc. where she works closely with wealth managers on financial plans and financial analyses for clients.

“This designation is of the highest importance to our firm and our clients. It identifies those professionals who meet the strictest academic and ethical requirements,” said Co-Principal John H. LeBlanc, CFP®. Likewise, Co-Principal Robert D. Siefert, CFP® said, this is the most sought after certification by consumers and financial planners. “The mark instantly communicates an individual’s proficiency and credibility. The qualification process teaches problem-solving and broadens knowledge of a wide range of technical topics,” he said.

Prior to joining Back Bay Financial Group, Evans served as director of Graduate Career Services for Bentley College’s McCallum Graduate School of Business, Waltham, and previously as associate director, MBA Center for Career Development, at Babson College’s Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business, Wellesley. She also held several different posts at Price Waterhouse Coopers, Boston.

Evans received her master’s degree in Financial Planning from McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley College and her bachelor’s degree from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, with a concentration in accounting.
